Coronavirus: COVID-19 Update

29 July 2020

Our mission has always been to look ahead and to keep our travel plans alive, our ground partners with future business and our staff with some form of employment. We are now excited to be able to share positive news again. Now that local government restrictions have been relaxed, borders within Europe have opened, more international flights are taking off, and with lockdowns & travel bans within nations themselves relaxed, we can now announce that trips have resumed in many destinations from 15 July.

Any non-refundable or other non-recoverable prepayments that have been paid by you and sent on to secure those services will not be held in credit. You will be notified at the time of your transfer or cancellation of the status of such payments after consultation with the relevant provider.

16 March 2020

Dear fellow travellers,

We want to inform you that the team at Sherpa Expeditions are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation with your well-being as our highest priority.

We wish to advise that due to the rapidly changing situation around border closures, quarantining requirements and travel restrictions in Europe and around the world, tours that are due to depart between 16 March through to 30 April, are inoperable. We empathise with all of our travellers, suppliers and people of nations across the globe who are being impacted by this announcement as a result of COVID-19.

We have all been hugely impacted and we are working hard to save our industry and the communities we work with. We need to work together at this time to ensure recovery across the sector.

We will be contacting all affected travellers in order of departure date from Monday 16 March to discuss options.

We thank you for your patience in these unprecedented times.

Tali Emdin
Sherpa Expeditions General Manager
